About OxalateSafe
OxalateSafe is built by Oliver Silen, a data-science master's student at UC Berkeley who also builds GoutSafe, a purine database for people with gout. Oxalate has the same problem purine had: numbers that disagree from list to list, and few lists that say where a number came from.
So this site does what GoutSafe does. It grades 243 foods on a normal serving, shows the spread across studies instead of picking one, and links every value to its source. How the grades work.
Oliver isn't a doctor or a dietitian, and nothing here is medical advice. If a number looks wrong, send the food and the source through the GoutSafe contact form, and it gets checked against the study.
